Aspirated tissue enters the jar instead of going to waste, so it can be reused for grafting. This 3500 ml model carries an internal mesh filter: fat is held on top of the mesh while tumescent solution, blood and free oil drain through and collect below, so the surgeon draws graft-ready fat straight from the jar without pouring it through a strainer or exposing it to open air.

Vacuum pulls lipoaspirate in through the side inlet. The mesh holds adipose tissue; everything thinner passes through. Because the vacuum port draws from below the mesh, fluid is pulled away continuously instead of sitting under the graft.

1 Connect
Suction tubing from the cannula handle to the inlet port, vacuum line from the aspirator to the outlet port. Seat the lid gasket and confirm the seal before starting vacuum.
2 Harvest
Aspirate as normal. Fat gathers on the mesh; fluid drains through and is pulled away. Read running volume off the printed scale.
3 Transfer
Draw filtered fat from the withdrawal port into syringes for grafting, or lift out the filter basket for direct loading. The graft stays inside a closed container throughout.

A practical rule: most of what enters the jar is fluid, not fat. If your usual case brings back well over two litres of aspirate, the 3500 ml lets the case run without a pause. If it does not, the 2000 ml is the easier jar to live with.
The filter is a removable stainless steel mesh basket that sits inside the jar. Aperture size is the trade-off that defines the product: too coarse and small fat parcels wash through with the waste, too fine and the mesh blinds over with tissue and the flow rate collapses mid-case. Filters for fat collection generally sit in the 0.2 mm to 2.0 mm range, with mid-range apertures used for routine grafting work.
Removable — lifts out for direct access to the graft and for full cleaning of both sides of the mesh.
All-steel — no glued frame, no bonded plastic rim that degrades over repeat autoclave cycles.
Serviceable — the mesh is a replaceable part, so a damaged filter does not retire the jar.
The jar body is heat and shock resistant, clear enough to read the fat and fluid line at a glance, and carries a permanently printed volume scale that survives repeat sterilisation instead of wearing off.
The lid seals against a silicone gasket. Port spigots are stainless steel with a large bore taper so standard suction tubing seats firmly and holds vacuum without slipping under load.
Every unit is leak and vacuum checked before packing.

1. Empty and rinse immediately after the case, before fat and blood dry on the mesh.
2. Fully disassemble: lid, gasket, port fittings and filter basket separated from the jar.
3. Ultrasonic clean with a neutral pH enzymatic detergent. Brush the mesh from both faces.
4. Rinse with purified water, dry completely, then steam sterilise per your facility protocol and the instructions supplied.
5. Inspect the gasket and the mesh at every cycle. A flattened gasket is the usual reason a jar stops holding vacuum.
Do not autoclave the jar assembled and sealed. Sterilise components separated so steam reaches every surface and pressure equalises.

Yes. Jar, lid, gasket and filter are designed for repeat steam sterilisation, not single use. Gasket and mesh are consumable service parts and can be replaced without replacing the jar.
The ports take standard large bore liposuction suction tubing, so the jar works with common aspirators and power assisted systems. If your pump uses a proprietary lid or canister mount, send the machine model before ordering and we will confirm fit.
Yield depends on technique, tumescent ratio and patient tissue, so no honest number covers every case. The point of the capacity is that a large aspirate volume, most of which is fluid, can be processed without stopping to change jars.
