Liposuction Cannulas and AccessoriesSharp Hole On Tip Extractor Injector Cannulas

A sharp hole on tip extractor and injector cannula has one sharpened opening at the tip, so it will both separate small volumes of fat and place them. It is used in fat transfer where harvesting and injecting are done with the same instrument on a small recipient site. This category is part of the Healermed Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories range and is supplied in four Luer lock fittings.

Sharp Hole On Tip Extractor Injector Cannulas in German Stainless Steel

Why the Tip Opening Is Sharpened

This instrument works in both directions: it will take fat out and put fat back, which is why it is described as an extractor and injector. The opening sits at the tip and its edge is sharpened.

Extracting is what the sharp edge is for. A sharpened opening separates parcels of fat as the cannula is advanced, so small graft volumes can be harvested with the same instrument that will place them, without changing to a dedicated harvester for a facial case or a small touch-up.

Injecting uses the same opening in reverse. Because it sits at the tip rather than back along the shaft, fat leaves at the leading point, which lets the surgeon place a thread exactly where the tip is and see the effect immediately. On a small recipient site that directness is worth more than volume.

The sharpened edge is the caution as well as the feature. It cuts whatever reaches it, so it is placed under direct control and it is not a beginner's instrument in thin recipient tissue. Once dulled it tears instead of cutting and should be taken out of service.

How an Injector Cannula Places Fat

An injector cannula is the delivery end of a fat transfer. The syringe supplies the pressure, but where the graft ends up, and in what form, is decided by the cannula: its diameter, its opening, and the way the surgeon moves it.

Placement is done in retrograde. The cannula is advanced through the recipient plane, and fat is laid down as it is withdrawn, so the graft fills the tunnel the cannula has just made rather than being forced into tissue ahead of it. Each pass deposits a thread of fat. A result is built from many of those threads, crossed and layered, not from a few large boluses.

That is why the opening matters. Its size sets the diameter of the thread laid down; its position sets which way the fat is directed as the cannula withdraws; and its edge decides whether the parcel passes cleanly or is sheared at the exit. A wider opening places more per pass and fills faster; a smaller one places less and gives finer control in thin tissue where the graft can be seen through the skin.

Diameter and length work with it. A narrower cannula makes a smaller tunnel and allows finer layering, but it also raises injection pressure for the same fat, so the surgeon pushes harder. A longer shaft covers more of the recipient area from one entry point, which means fewer punctures. Matching all of this to the graft volume and the recipient site is the whole skill of the instrument choice.

Clinical Applications

  • Small-volume facial fat transfer
  • Touch-up grafting where harvest and placement happen in one step
  • Recipient sites where the surgeon wants fat placed at the tip
  • Fine work with the 1.0mm to 2.0mm diameters

Material and Sterilization

The cannula is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and the opening with clean water immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. The sharpened edge is the working surface, so inspect it under magnification at every cycle. A dulled edge tears tissue instead of cutting it, which is worse than a blunt opening rather than better.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sharp hole on tip injector cannula used for?

It is used to separate small volumes of fat and place them in fat transfer procedures. The sharpened opening at the tip cuts parcels on extraction and delivers a thread at the leading point on injection, which suits facial and touch-up grafting where one instrument doing both saves a change.

Can one cannula really both harvest and inject?

For small volumes, yes. A sharpened tip opening separates parcels as the cannula advances and delivers them as it withdraws. For large graft volumes a dedicated multiport harvester collects far faster; this instrument exists for cases where the volumes are small and changing instruments costs more time than it saves.

Is this cannula autoclavable?

Yes. The instrument is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and opening with clean water immediately after use, before graft residue sets, and dry completely before sterilization.

Which fitting should I order?

All four fittings are Luer lock types. Standard Luer lock suits most grafting syringes; stainless steel Luer lock is for high sterilization throughput; Super Luer Lock has a larger bore for lower injection resistance; universal Luer lock seats across syringe brands where consumable stock varies.

What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?

The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification.

Do you provide samples?

Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Tell us the diameter, length and fitting you want to evaluate and we will confirm what can be sent.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths and opening configurations are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced.
