What Is an ENT Micro Instrument Set Used For?

An ENT micro instrument set is used for procedures inside the ear canal, the nasal sinuses and the larynx — myringotomy and tympanoplasty in the ear, frontal sinus and antrum clearance in the nose, and vocal cord work in the throat. The instruments are deliberately slim and long so the surgeon's hand stays clear of the operating microscope's line of sight.

What Is the Difference Between a Micro Ear Set and an ENT Set?

A micro ear set contains only otology instruments — curettes, picks, hooks and elevators for the ear canal and middle ear. An ENT set is wider: it adds sinus curettes for the nose and circle knives for the larynx. This 18-piece set is a full ENT set, which is why 12 pieces are ear instruments and the remaining 6 cover nose and throat. If you operate on ears only, order the 12 otology pieces listed above individually instead of the complete set.

What Material Are These Instruments Made From?

All pieces are made from surgical-grade stainless steel with a satin finish to cut microscope glare. Handles are knurled so grip holds with wet gloves. Every instrument is single-ended, hand-finished and passivated for corrosion resistance.

Are These Instruments Reusable and Autoclavable?

Yes. All instruments are fully reusable and autoclavable at 134°C. Clean immediately after use, rinse with distilled water and dry fully before storage. Working tips on the micro picks and hooks are 0.1–1.5mm and will bend under force, so store them in a slotted tray rather than loose.

Can I Buy Single Pieces Instead of the Full Set?

Yes. All 18 instruments are listed separately with their own model numbers — every name above links to its own page. Buy a single unit to replace a damaged piece, or build your own tray from the pieces you actually use.
