Luer lock is a standard, but tolerances differ between brands, and a hub cut to the tight end of the band can seat poorly on some syringes. Under injection pressure a poor seat does not merely feel loose, it leaks graft at the hub. A universal hub is machined to sit centrally in that tolerance band so it locks properly across whatever syringe stock is on the shelf.

What a Small Round Opening Does

One deliberately small round opening on the shaft, behind a closed blunt tip. The size is the specification: this is the injector for placing the least fat per pass of anything in the range.

Opening size sets thread diameter directly. A small round hole lays a fine thread, so the same graft volume is spread across many more passes and distributed through more of the recipient tissue. In sites where the graft can be seen or felt through thin skin, that fineness is the difference between a smooth result and a visible lump.
