Larger-Bore Super Luer Lock Hub on a Bayonet Infiltration Cannula

Infiltration speed is limited by the narrowest point in the fluid path. On a full body case the surgeon may deliver several litres of tumescent solution, and a standard Luer hub can become that limiting point. The Super Luer Lock hub uses a larger internal bore, with a longer thread on a heavier body so the connection stays tight under sustained pump pressure.

What the Bayonet Shape Does

A bayonet cannula has a stepped offset bend in the shaft between the hub and the working section. The offset moves the hub, the handle and the surgeon's hand sideways, out of the straight line running back from the entry site. That single change in geometry solves two problems at once.

Material and Sterilization
