Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories › Auto Lock Fat Harvesting Syringe 20cc
The Auto Lock Fat Harvesting Syringe 20cc holds negative pressure mechanically as the plunger is drawn, so the surgeon does not have to hold it and no separate stop lock has to be fitted. Mid-size harvesting for facial, neck and small body areas, and the usual size for fat grafting preparation. It is part of the Healermed liposuction cannulas and accessories range.
At a Glance
Twenty millilitres is the size most fat grafting is actually harvested in. It holds enough to work a facial area or a small body site without changing syringes every few passes, and stays easy to handle and to process.
It is also the point where plunger force stops being trivial. At 10cc a short draw can be held by hand for a moment; by 20cc the force is sustained across a longer harvest, and a hand holding it will creep forward gradually. The auto lock removes that drift without the surgeon having to think about it.
Because this is the default harvesting size for most surgeons, it is the syringe where the saved step repeats most often across a case.
In syringe harvesting the vacuum comes from the plunger, and it lasts only as long as something holds the plunger back. On a plain syringe that something is the surgeon's hand.
An auto lock syringe builds the holding into the instrument. As the plunger is drawn back it engages and stays where it was set, so negative pressure is held from the moment the surgeon stops pulling. Nothing has to be clipped on, and nothing has to be held.
The practical difference from a separate stop lock is one fewer part in the sequence. With an add-on lock the surgeon draws back, then fits the lock, then works, then removes the lock to expel. With an auto lock the draw and the hold are the same movement. Over a body harvest running through many syringes that is a meaningful amount of time, and it is one less small stainless part to keep track of, sterilize and lose.
The other gain is consistency. A hand-held plunger creeps as the hand tires, so the last part of a syringe is harvested at lower suction than the first, usually without the surgeon noticing. A mechanical hold does not drift, so every pass into the syringe is taken at the pressure that was set.
| Material | German stainless steel |
| Capacity | 20cc |
| Locking | Integrated auto lock, engages on draw |
| Function | Maintains negative pressure during fat harvesting |
| Reusable | Yes — steam autoclavable to 134°C |
| Other capacities | Also made in the other harvesting sizes |
| Compliance | FDA CGMP, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CE Mark |
The syringe is made from German stainless steel and is fully reusable, steam autoclavable to 134°C. Dismantle and clean immediately after every case, before fat and tumescent residue set into the barrel and the locking mechanism. Test the lock at every cycle by drawing the plunger back and confirming it holds under load: a mechanism that creeps lets vacuum fall away gradually, which is the one failure on this instrument that gives no outward sign. Take any syringe whose lock no longer holds firmly out of service.

What is an auto lock fat harvesting syringe?
It is a harvesting syringe with the plunger lock built in. As the plunger is drawn back the lock engages and holds it, so negative pressure is maintained mechanically from the moment the surgeon stops pulling, with nothing to clip on and nothing to hold.
How is it different from a syringe with a separate stop lock?
A separate stop lock has to be fitted after the draw and removed before expelling, on every syringe. With an auto lock the draw and the hold are one movement. It also removes a small stainless part that has to be sterilized and kept track of through the case.
Why is 20cc the most common harvesting size?
It holds enough to work a facial area or small body site without changing the syringe every few passes, while staying easy to handle and to process afterwards. For most surgeons it is the default harvesting syringe, so this is the size where the saved step repeats most often.
Does it hold vacuum better than a hand?
It holds it more consistently. A hand-held plunger creeps as the hand tires, so the last part of a syringe is harvested at lower suction than the first, usually unnoticed. A mechanical hold does not drift.
Is it autoclavable?
Yes. It is German stainless steel and steam autoclavable to 134°C. Dismantle and clean immediately after every case, and test the lock under load at each cycle, since a creeping mechanism lets vacuum fall away with no outward sign.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the capacities and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification.
