Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories › Nano Fat Transfer Set – Long Pattern
The Nano Fat Transfer Set – Long Pattern is a reusable stainless steel set for emulsifying harvested fat into nanofat, for injection into the dermal and subdermal planes. It is supplied complete with three mesh filters for nano transfer — 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm — and two gas rings. It is part of the Healermed liposuction cannulas and accessories range.
At a Glance
The long pattern has an extended body, which lengthens the channel the fat is driven through on every pass.
A longer channel means more shear per pass. The tissue spends longer in the narrow section, so the parcels break down further before the plunger reaches the end of its travel, and fewer passes are needed to reach a given emulsion. On a large harvest that is the difference between a manageable preparation and a long one.
The trade is force. More channel means more resistance, so the surgeon or assistant pushes harder on each pass. Where the volume is large enough to justify it, that is a fair exchange; where only a few millilitres are being prepared, the short pattern does the same job with less effort.
Nanofat is not a different tissue from the fat that was harvested. It is the same aspirate put through a mechanical process that breaks the fat parcels down until what remains will pass through a very fine cannula.
The process is emulsification by shear. Harvested fat is loaded into a syringe, connected to a second syringe through the transfer device, and pushed back and forth. Each pass forces the tissue through a narrow channel, and the mechanical shear breaks the parcels progressively smaller. After enough passes the aspirate changes visibly, from a lumpy yellow graft to a smooth emulsion.
Filtration then sets what actually gets injected. The emulsified fat is passed through a mesh, and the mesh size decides the largest particle that can get through. That matters because the injection cannula is the real limit: a particle wider than the lumen blocks it, and a blocked fine cannula in the middle of a periorbital case is a problem. Filtering to a known size means the surgeon knows what will pass.
The point of all of it is where the graft can go. Standard fat parcels are too large for the dermal and subdermal planes; nanofat passes through cannulas fine enough to treat them, which is why it is used for skin quality, fine lines, scars, and the thin tissue around the eyes and mouth where conventional grafting cannot be placed.
Each set is supplied complete and ready to use:
| 3 mesh filters — 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm Three filtration grades so the surgeon matches the particle size to the injection cannula and the plane being treated. The 0.7mm mesh suits subdermal placement through finer cannulas; 0.5mm is the general nanofat grade; 0.3mm produces the finest emulsion for intradermal work and the thinnest periorbital tissue. |
2 gas rings Sealing rings for the assembly. They hold the joint tight while fat is driven back and forth under pressure, so the emulsion goes through the channel rather than escaping at the seam. Two are supplied so one is in use and one is a spare, since a compressed or perished ring is the usual cause of a leaking transfer set. |
Replacement mesh filters and gas rings are available separately.

The transfer set is made from German stainless steel and is fully reusable, steam autoclavable to 134°C. Dismantle it completely after every case and flush each part before any residue sets, since emulsified fat dries into the mesh and the internal channel far faster than whole parcels do. Hold each mesh filter to the light and check it is clear across its whole area: a partly blocked mesh raises the pressure the surgeon works against and quietly changes the particle size that gets through. Inspect the gas rings for compression or splitting at every cycle and replace rather than reuse a ring that has flattened.

| Nano Fat Transfer Set – Short Pattern Compact body, lower resistance per pass, supplied with the same three mesh filters and two gas rings. |
What is a nano fat transfer set used for?
It is used to emulsify harvested fat into nanofat. Fat is driven back and forth between two syringes through the set, and the mechanical shear breaks the parcels down until they pass through a very fine injection cannula. The result is used in the dermal and subdermal planes, where standard fat parcels are too large to place.
What is included with the set?
Three mesh filters for nano transfer — 0.3mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm — and two gas rings. The three mesh grades let the surgeon match particle size to the injection cannula and the plane being treated. Replacement filters and rings are available separately.
Which mesh size should I use?
Match it to the injection cannula and the plane. The 0.7mm mesh suits subdermal placement through finer cannulas, 0.5mm is the general nanofat grade, and 0.3mm gives the finest emulsion for intradermal work and the thinnest periorbital tissue. A particle wider than the cannula lumen will block it, so filtering to a known size is what keeps the injection running.
When should I choose the long pattern over the short?
Choose the long pattern when preparing larger volumes. The extended channel shears more per pass, so fewer passes are needed, at the cost of more force on the plunger. For a few millilitres the short pattern reaches the same emulsion with less effort.
Is the set autoclavable?
Yes. It is fully reusable and steam autoclavable to 134°C. Dismantle it completely after every case and flush each part before residue sets, since emulsified fat dries into the mesh far faster than whole parcels do.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the patterns and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification.
