The Tumescent Infiltration Liposuction Cannula with Toomey Hub is a blunt-tip, multi-hole cannula built to fit 60cc Toomey-tip syringes, used to deliver tumescent or wetting solution before liposuction and in fat grafting workflows. The Toomey hub has a wide, non-Luer opening, so a full 60cc syringe empties quickly instead of being throttled by a narrow taper. This fitting is made from 2.0mm (14G) upward. It is supplied in bulk to distributors worldwide. See the full Tumescent Infiltration Liposuction Cannulas range for other fittings.
Buyers also search for this instrument as a 60cc Toomey infiltration cannula, a syringe tumescent cannula, or a fat grafting infiltration cannula.
At a Glance
A Toomey tip is a wide-bore syringe fitting, not a Luer taper. It exists because 60cc syringes are used where volume matters more than fine control. A cannula built with a matching Toomey hub keeps the whole fluid path wide, so the working limit is the cannula diameter and hole size rather than the connector.
The working section carries many small round holes spread in a staggered pattern along the shaft rather than grouped near the tip. Each hole releases a small share of the solution, so a single pass wets a long column of tissue evenly instead of pooling fluid at one point. The staggered layout means the openings do not sit in one straight line, so solution leaves the shaft on more than one side and spreads through the plane rather than tracking along a single channel.
The distal tip is closed and rounded. It separates the subcutaneous plane by blunt dissection as the cannula advances, pushing vessels and nerves aside rather than dividing them, which is why an infiltration cannula is not simply a long needle.

The cannula is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every hole with clean water immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. A cannula with many small openings needs more attention here than a two-port design, because dried tumescent solution blocks small holes first and an uneven port flow shows up as uneven infiltration.
The Toomey fitting starts at 2.0mm, so for finer facial infiltration below 2.0mm choose the Luer lock version instead. Within the Toomey range, 2.5mm to 4.0mm in 25cm to 35cm suits large body areas, while 2.0mm to 2.5mm in 15cm to 25cm suits arms, neck and smaller regions.

What is a Toomey hub tumescent cannula used for?
It is used with 60cc Toomey-tip syringes for large-volume tumescent infiltration and in fat grafting workflows. The wide non-Luer hub lets a full syringe empty quickly, and the multi-hole shaft spreads that volume evenly along the pass instead of releasing it at one point.
What is the difference between a tumescent infiltration cannula and an aspiration cannula?
An infiltration cannula delivers fluid into tissue; an aspiration cannula removes fat under vacuum. Infiltration cannulas are narrower, carry many small holes for even fluid spread, and connect to a syringe or pump. Aspiration cannulas have fewer, much larger ports designed to draw fat and connect to a vacuum line.
Why does this cannula have so many holes?
Many small holes spread the solution along the whole length of the pass instead of releasing it at one point. That gives a more even wetting of the treatment area, fewer passes to fill a large region, and less risk of a fluid pocket forming where a single port sat. The staggered layout also sends solution out on more than one side of the shaft.
Is this cannula autoclavable?
Yes. The instrument is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every hole with clean water immediately after use, remove all residue before sterilization, and dry completely. Check the holes under light before each cycle, since a blocked opening changes how the solution distributes on the next case.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification. This lets a small distributor start with a trial order and a larger importer scale up on the same terms.
Do you provide samples?
Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Tell us the diameter and length you want to evaluate and we will confirm what can be sent. Testing a sample first confirms the hub seats correctly on the 60cc syringes you already stock.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths, and hole patterns are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced. Custom branding is also available for distributor and OEM orders.
