Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories › Candy Cane Liposuction Cannulas › Candy Cane Liposuction Cannula
A candy cane liposuction cannula is a curved liposuction cannula with a blunt tip, used to remove subcutaneous fat under vacuum on convex body surfaces during liposuction and body contouring. The curved shaft follows the surface so the working depth stays consistent across the pass instead of cutting a chord through the tissue. It sits in the Candy Cane Liposuction Cannulas category, part of the wider Healermed Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories range, and is supplied in 13 hub and handle fittings and 84 diameter and length combinations worldwide.
Surgeons also search for these liposuction cannulas as curved liposuction cannulas, curved shaft lipo cannulas, hooked cannulas, or candy cane aspiration cannulas.
At a Glance
A straight liposuction cannula on a curved body surface runs deeper in the middle of the pass than at either end, and that is where a visible channel comes from. A curved shaft follows the surface instead, which is the entire reason this profile exists.
A candy cane liposuction cannula is a curved liposuction cannula: the shaft bends through a smooth arc toward the tip rather than running straight, and the hooked profile is where the name comes from.
The curve exists because the body is not flat. On a convex surface a straight cannula follows a chord through the tissue, running deeper in the middle of the pass than at either end, unless the surgeon angles the hand awkwardly to compensate. A curved shaft follows the surface instead, so the working section holds a consistent depth across the whole sweep.
That matters most where the contour turns: the flank as it wraps toward the back, the outer thigh and hip, the upper arm, and the submental region under the jaw. In those areas a straight cannula tends to leave a deeper channel through the middle of each pass, and a deeper channel is exactly where a visible irregularity comes from.
The curve also changes the entry angle. The tip can be introduced through one port and directed around a contour that a straight instrument cannot follow, which can reduce the number of access incisions needed to cover a rounded area. The distal tip is closed and rounded, separating the plane by blunt dissection while the vacuum works through the side opening rather than the end of the shaft.
Every fitting below carries the same candy cane shaft, the same closed blunt tip and the same size grid. Pick the one that matches the syringe, vacuum line or handpiece already in your theater.

The cannula is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and the opening with clean water immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. A curved lumen holds water and residue where a straight one drains, so flush from the hub with the tip pointing down and keep flushing until the water runs clear. Sight along the curve at each cycle to confirm the arc has not been bent out of shape, since a distorted curve no longer matches the surface it was made for.
Diameter sets how much fat comes out per pass and length sets the reach; on a curved liposuction cannula the arc also has to suit the surface being treated. For flanks, hips and outer thighs the 3.0mm to 4.0mm diameters in 25cm to 35cm are the usual working range. The 2.0mm to 2.5mm range in 15cm to 25cm covers arms and the neck. The 1.0mm to 1.5mm diameters in 5cm to 12cm are for submental and jawline work. Tell us the area you are treating and we will confirm the curve radius that fits it. Match the fitting to the syringe, vacuum line or handpiece already in your theater.

What is a candy cane liposuction cannula used for?
It is used to remove subcutaneous fat under vacuum on convex body surfaces during liposuction and body contouring. The curved shaft follows the surface so the depth stays consistent across the pass, and it reaches around a contour that a straight liposuction cannula cannot follow from the same access port.
What is the difference between a curved candy cane cannula and a straight liposuction cannula?
A straight cannula follows a chord across a convex surface, so it runs deeper in the middle of the pass than at either end. A curved candy cane cannula follows the surface itself and holds a consistent depth across the sweep, which is why it is chosen for flanks, hips, outer thighs and the submental area.
Is this cannula autoclavable?
Yes. The instrument is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and the opening with clean water immediately after use, remove all residue before sterilization, and dry completely. Inspect the opening edge under light at every cycle, since edge condition decides how the cannula behaves in tissue.
Which size should I use?
For flanks, hips and outer thighs the 3.0mm to 4.0mm diameters in 25cm to 35cm are the usual range. Arms and the neck suit 2.0mm to 2.5mm in 15cm to 25cm. Submental and jawline work uses 1.0mm to 1.5mm in 5cm to 12cm. Tell us the area being treated and we will confirm the curve radius that fits it.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification. This lets a small distributor start with a trial order and a larger importer scale up on the same terms.
Do you provide samples?
Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Tell us the diameter, length and fitting you want to evaluate and we will confirm what can be sent. Testing a sample before a bulk order is the fastest way to check edge finish and hub fit against your own equipment.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths and opening dimensions are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced. Custom branding is also available for distributor and OEM orders.
