The Tumescent Infiltration Liposuction Cannula with Black Power Handle is a blunt-tip, multi-hole cannula fitted with a black anodized handle, used to deliver tumescent or wetting solution before liposuction. The anodized finish cuts the glare a polished handle throws back under operating lights, and gives theaters a quick way to colour-code cannula sizes on a crowded tray. It is used in body contouring practices and supplied in bulk to distributors worldwide. See the full Tumescent Infiltration Liposuction Cannulas range for other fittings.
Buyers also search for this instrument as a black handle tumescent cannula, an anti-glare infiltrator, or a colour-coded wetting solution cannula.
At a Glance
Operating lights are bright and directional, and a polished steel handle reflects them straight back at the surgeon. An anodized black handle removes that reflection at the point closest to the surgeon's eye line. The second benefit is organisational: on a tray holding several similar cannulas, a black handle is identifiable at a glance without reading the laser mark.
The working section carries many small round holes spread in a staggered pattern along the shaft rather than grouped near the tip. Each hole releases a small share of the solution, so a single pass wets a long column of tissue evenly instead of pooling fluid at one point. The staggered layout means the openings do not sit in one straight line, so solution leaves the shaft on more than one side and spreads through the plane rather than tracking along a single channel.
The distal tip is closed and rounded. It separates the subcutaneous plane by blunt dissection as the cannula advances, pushing vessels and nerves aside rather than dividing them, which is why an infiltration cannula is not simply a long needle.

The cannula is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every hole with clean water immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. A cannula with many small openings needs more attention here than a two-port design, because dried tumescent solution blocks small holes first and an uneven port flow shows up as uneven infiltration.
Choose the black handle for glare reduction or tray colour-coding; the shaft, holes and tip are identical to the other handle versions. If your cleaning protocol uses aggressive chemical agents, a plain steel handle will hold its appearance longer than an anodized finish. Diameter sets the flow rate and length sets the reach. For large-volume body infiltration of the abdomen, flanks, back and thighs, the 2.5mm to 4.0mm diameters in 25cm to 35cm are the usual working range, because they fill a large area in fewer passes. The 1.8mm to 2.5mm range in 15cm to 25cm suits arms, the neck and smaller regions. The 1.0mm to 1.5mm diameters in 5cm to 12cm are for facial and submental infiltration, where thin tissue needs a small-diameter cannula. Match the fitting to the syringe, pump or handpiece already in your theater.

What is a black handle tumescent cannula used for?
It is used to deliver tumescent or wetting solution into subcutaneous tissue before liposuction. The black anodized handle reduces light reflected back at the surgeon under operating lights and makes the instrument easy to identify on a tray holding several similar cannulas.
What is the difference between a tumescent infiltration cannula and an aspiration cannula?
An infiltration cannula delivers fluid into tissue; an aspiration cannula removes fat under vacuum. Infiltration cannulas are narrower, carry many small holes for even fluid spread, and connect to a syringe or pump. Aspiration cannulas have fewer, much larger ports designed to draw fat and connect to a vacuum line.
Why does this cannula have so many holes?
Many small holes spread the solution along the whole length of the pass instead of releasing it at one point. That gives a more even wetting of the treatment area, fewer passes to fill a large region, and less risk of a fluid pocket forming where a single port sat. The staggered layout also sends solution out on more than one side of the shaft.
Is this cannula autoclavable?
Yes. The instrument is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every hole with clean water immediately after use, remove all residue before sterilization, and dry completely. Check the holes under light before each cycle, since a blocked opening changes how the solution distributes on the next case.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification. This lets a small distributor start with a trial order and a larger importer scale up on the same terms.
Do you provide samples?
Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Tell us the diameter and length you want to evaluate and we will confirm what can be sent. A sample also lets you run the anodized handle through your own sterilization protocol first.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths, and hole patterns are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced. Custom branding is also available for distributor and OEM orders.
