Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories › Double Basket Becker Liposuction Cannulas › Double Basket Becker Liposuction Cannula – Toomey Hub 60cc
The Double Basket Becker Liposuction Cannula with Toomey Hub 60cc fitting is supplied with a hub built for that equipment, carrying the same shaft and tip as every other fitting in the range. It is listed under Double Basket Becker Liposuction Cannulas, part of the Healermed Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories range.
Surgeons also search for this cannula as a double basket cannula, a Becker basket liposuction cannula, a dual cage cannula, or a high-flow debulking cannula.
At a Glance
A Toomey tip is a wide-bore syringe fitting rather than a Luer taper. It exists because aspirated tissue is thick and moves slowly through a narrow connector, and a matching hub keeps the whole path wide.
A Becker basket cannula has its distal section cut into an open cage, leaving the remaining metal as struts. This one carries two such sections, set one behind the other along the shaft.
A single basket already gives the largest open area of any pattern at a given diameter. Adding a second extends that open area much further back along the shaft, so the cannula draws along a long stretch rather than a short section near the tip. On a large donor or treatment area that is the shortest route to clearing volume: fewer passes, less time, less hand fatigue on the part of the case that consumes most of both.
The struts between the two sections matter as much as the openings. They carry the shaft's stiffness across the working length, so the instrument stays rigid enough to drive through tissue despite how much metal has been removed. That is a manufacturing constraint as much as a design one, and it is why basket cannulas are made in the larger diameters rather than the fine end of the grid.
This is the fastest and least forgiving instrument in the range, and the caution doubles with the second section. It belongs in the deep layer and the debulking stage only. Used close to the skin it will take more than intended before the surgeon reads it, so the normal sequence is to debulk with the double basket and change to a low-port cannula for shaping. The distal tip is closed and rounded.

The Toomey fitting starts at 2.0mm, so for finer work below 2.0mm choose the Luer lock version instead. This cannula is built for volume, so the 4.0mm to 6.0mm diameters in 30cm to 35cm are the core working range for deep-layer debulking. The 3.5mm in 25cm to 30cm is the practical lower limit: below that there is not enough shaft wall left to carry two basket sections with useful stiffness. It should not be used in the superficial layer at any size, and a low-port cannula is the correct instrument for shaping.
The instrument is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Clean immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. Two open cages trap tissue debris far more readily than a drilled shaft, and the second section is easy to skip. Flush from both ends until the water runs clear, inspect both cages under light, and check every strut for bending at each cycle. A deformed cage cannot be corrected on a reusable instrument and changes how the cannula sits in the plane.

What is a double basket becker liposuction cannula used for?
It is used to remove subcutaneous fat under vacuum in the deep layer during the debulking stage of body contouring. Two open basket sections give the largest draw area of any pattern in the range over a long stretch of shaft, so high volumes are cleared in the fewest passes.
What is the difference between a double basket and a single basket cannula?
A single basket has one open cage section near the tip. A double basket has two along the shaft, so the open area extends much further back and the cannula draws along a long stretch rather than a short one. It clears volume faster and is correspondingly less forgiving, which restricts it to the deep layer.
Is this instrument autoclavable?
Yes. It is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Clean immediately after use, remove all residue before sterilization, and dry completely.
Which size should I use?
The 4.0mm to 6.0mm diameters in 30cm to 35cm are the core working range for deep-layer debulking. The 3.5mm in 25cm to 30cm is the practical lower limit, since below that there is not enough shaft wall to carry two basket sections with useful stiffness. It is not intended for the superficial layer at any diameter.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification.
Do you provide samples?
Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Testing a sample first confirms the hub seats correctly on the 60cc syringes you already stock.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths and configurations are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced.
