The Cobra Style Round Tip Liposuction Cannula is an aspiration cannula with a fully domed, closed tip, used to remove subcutaneous fat under vacuum during liposuction and body contouring. The round profile has no taper and no edge, so it pushes tissue aside instead of parting it — the most forgiving tip in the range and the one surgeons reach for in superficial and delicate planes. It sits in the Cobra Style Round Tip Liposuction Cannulas category, part of the wider Healermed Liposuction Cannulas and Accessories range, and is supplied in 11 hub and handle fittings and 84 diameter and length combinations worldwide.
Surgeons also refer to these instruments as round tip lipo cannulas, blunt tip aspiration cannulas, atraumatic liposuction cannulas, or Cobra tip cannulas.

Tip shape is the first thing a cannula does and the last thing a surgeon can correct. Everything behind the tip — port count, diameter, hub — changes how fast fat leaves. The tip changes whether the instrument goes where it was aimed. This cannula is built around the most forgiving tip profile available.
The round tip is a fully domed, closed end with no taper and no edge anywhere on it. That single detail decides how the cannula behaves at the moment of contact: it cannot catch, it cannot start a cut, and it cannot be led off the plane by a firm structure. It pushes tissue aside and lets the surgeon's line of travel decide the direction, rather than the tissue deciding it.
Compare it with a bullet tip. A bullet profile tapers to a narrower nose, which makes it easier to drive through scar and fibrous septa, at the cost of some of that forgiveness. A round tip needs a little more push in dense tissue, and gives back a far lower chance of a septum being divided or the tip skipping into a plane the surgeon did not choose.
That trade favours the round tip wherever the margin for error is smallest. In the superficial layer the skin is close and an irregularity is permanent. Over bony landmarks and near a neurovascular bundle the cost of a tip that catches is not a contour problem. In those places the surgeon wants the most forgiving nose available, and accepts the extra push.
Vacuum works through the side ports, not the end of the shaft. Because the tip itself is sealed, suction never pulls tissue against the leading point, which is what keeps a round-tip cannula from grabbing as it enters.

The cannula is made from German stainless steel with a passivated surface that resists corrosion and pitting through repeated cleaning cycles. It is reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every port with clean water immediately after use and dry fully before autoclaving. Inspect the tip dome at each cycle: the round profile only works while it is smooth, and a dent or flat spot from a dropped instrument turns a forgiving tip into one that catches.
Diameter sets how much fat comes out per pass and length sets the reach. For general body contouring of the abdomen, flanks and thighs, the 3.0mm to 4.0mm diameters in 25cm to 35cm are the usual working range. The 2.0mm to 2.5mm range in 15cm to 25cm suits arms, the neck and superficial refinement, which is where a round tip is chosen most often. The 1.0mm to 1.5mm diameters in 5cm to 12cm are for fine facial and submental work. Match the fitting to the syringe, vacuum line or handpiece already in your theater.

Choose the fitting that matches your equipment:
What is a Cobra style round tip liposuction cannula used for?
It is used to remove subcutaneous fat under vacuum during liposuction and body contouring. The fully domed tip has no taper or edge, so it pushes tissue aside rather than parting it. Surgeons choose it for superficial planes, work near bony landmarks, and anywhere a tip that catches would cause a permanent irregularity.
What is the difference between a round tip and a bullet tip cannula?
A round tip is fully domed with no taper; a bullet tip narrows to a nose. The round tip is more forgiving, since it pushes tissue aside rather than parting it, and is preferred in superficial and delicate planes. The bullet tip passes through scar and fibrous tissue with less force, which suits revision and dense areas.
Is this cannula autoclavable?
Yes. The instrument is fully reusable and can be steam autoclaved at 134°C. Flush the lumen and every port with clean water immediately after use, remove all residue before sterilization, and dry completely. Check the tip dome and port edges each cycle, since both affect how the cannula behaves in tissue.
What is the minimum order quantity for bulk orders?
The minimum order quantity is agreed per order rather than set at a fixed number. Send us the sizes, fittings and quantities you need through the wholesale request page and we will confirm the minimum for that specification. This lets a small distributor start with a trial order and a larger importer scale up on the same terms.
Which size should I use?
For general body contouring of the abdomen, flanks and thighs, 3.0mm to 4.0mm diameters in 25cm to 35cm are the usual range. Arms, neck and superficial refinement suit 2.0mm to 2.5mm in 15cm to 25cm, which is where a round tip is chosen most often. Facial and delicate-area work uses 1.0mm to 1.5mm in 5cm to 12cm.
Do you provide samples?
Yes. Samples are available on request and the buyer covers the shipping charges. Tell us the diameter, length and fitting you want to evaluate and we will confirm what can be sent. Testing a sample before a bulk order is the fastest way to check tip finish, port edges and hub fit against your own equipment.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes. Custom diameters, working lengths and port configurations are available on request in addition to the standard size grid. Send your specification through the wholesale request page and our production team will confirm what can be produced. Custom branding is also available for distributor and OEM orders.
